Port 31 Katakolon, Greece April 11,2007

This is another of captain Dag’s “surprise” port stops. Earlier this morning he announced we would dock in Katakolon from 1 to 5p.m., and we were all invited to have lunch on the quay area at three restaurants that he had hired for the occasion. It was delightful and for me it was the best Greek food I had ever eaten, as it was fresh, hot and served to us as a plate full of five different food items. Of course there were four kinds of baklava to be tasted. We all sat outside enjoying the sun (or shade), there was music too. The crew had been assigned different jobs, i.e. pointing the way, serving food or beer or wine, water. And then we had time to roam around the village. Unfortunately for our Wells Fargo account, the galleries and jewelry stores were open.
